Conferences with a Conscience at Bedern Hall York
‘Conferences with a Conscience’ has been launched where organisers and delegates can book events and at the same time help to keep the heritage of the venue in top condition by supporting The Bedern Hall Foundation. The historic meetings and event venue in the centre of York is developing a plan for upgrading and extending the building which will be supported by this initiative.
Catering provided by chef-manager Roger Lee, is dedicated to sustainable, ethical, practices, using Fairtrade certified goods and locally sourced produce wherever possible, supporting the local community and reducing their impact on the environment. Many of the food ingredients are from Roger’s own allotment.
Conferences with a Conscience supports The Bedern Hall Foundation and contributes to the corporate social responsibility activities of organisations that book events at Bedern Hall and there is a range of options depending on the size of the supporting business or organisation.
- As an example, Enterprise Foundation membership starts at £250 per year and includes:
- Inclusion of up to 10 people in the organisation enabled to take advantage of the reduced price benefits
- An annual event for up to 10 delegates including tea and coffee, onsite conference equipment and sandwich lunch or evening reception. (Catering at reduced rates.)
- Certificate of Guild Recognition on the Bedern Hall Foundation ‘Wall of Honour’ and an embossed certificate for the business/organisations’ own premises.
- Permission to use the Bedern Hall Foundation image on letterheads and promotional material to demonstrate local corporate social responsibility.
