Tuesday 18th June 2019 will be Herriot Country at Kings Cross London when the World of James Herriot and the Herriot Country Tourism group presents ‘Welcome to Herriot Country’

A team from The World of James Herriot, Grand Central Rail and Herriot Country Tourism Group will be descending on Kings Cross London on Tuesday 18th June for an event that will celebrate the author James Herriot (Alf Wight OBE) and to promote Herriot Country for holidays and short breaks.
An exhibition of Herriot Country in North Yorkshire with ‘Flavours of Herriot Country’ will be held on Kings Cross concourse for the whole of the day, including morning and evening commute times. Visitors will be encouraged to enter a prize draw for a ‘Breakaway to Herriot Country’ courtesy of the Herriot Country partners.
The exhibition will include exhibition pieces from the World of James Herriot, a selection of local ‘Flavours of Herriot’, including artisan chocolate makers Inspired Chocolate of Leyburn, a selection of Herriot Country craft beers from the Wensleydale Brewery, plus, Richmond’s ‘Mad Hatter Tea Company’ with samples of specialist teas and coffees. Information about Herriot Country Tourism group members, holiday options and details about the area in general and leaflets encouraging short breaks in Herriot Country will be distributed.
